Robin Varma, Ph.D.

Robin Varma holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Carleton University (June, 2022) and has taught at Concordia University. His Ph.D. dissertation focused on concepts of power in ancient and modern thought, and was supervised by Professor Waller R. Newell.

 

Varma is the author of Ruling Bodies: A Study of Coercion and Punishment in Plato's Republic, Laws, and Gorgias (Lexington Books, 2022). He specializes in Classical Greek philosophy and philosophies of crime and punishment. A sample of his writing can be found on Google Books.

 

Varma currently lives in Ontario with his wife and son.
